The injection injectors of lubricating oil into the cylinders of a large low speed two-stroke engine, particularly a marine diesel engine, provided better uniform performance when using a hardened surface for plain bearing sliding valve members. Also, the cured surfaces for the valve seat at the nozzle were improvements.
