Disclosed in the present invention is an improved apparatus for cultivation of edible plants. According to the present invention, the apparatus comprises: first to m^th medium members which are composed of n vertically stacked medium members; a water supply passage which is provided in series so as to successively pass each of the first to m^th medium members in a vertical direction, and includes a plurality of water supply holes for supplying water into the first to m^th medium members; a water storage tank which is connected to the water supply passages to store the water; a first motor which operates to supply the water in a circulation manner through the water supply passage from the water storage tank; a nutrient solution supply passage which is provided in series so as to successively pass each of the first to m^th medium members in a vertical direction, and includes a plurality of nutrient solution supply nozzles for supplying a nutrient solution into the first to m^th medium members; a nutrient solution storage tank which is connected to the nutrient solution supply passage to store the nutrient solution; and a second motor which operates to supply the nutrient solution in a circulation manner through the nutrient solution supply passage from the nutrient solution storage tank, wherein each of the first to m^th medium members is detachably provided at the water supply passage and the nutrient solution supply passage, and includes, on a side surface thereof, a plurality of transplant holes in which the seedling of an edible plant can be transplanted.
