Disclosed are a primer used for attaching an orthodontic device to the surface of teeth, and chlorhexidine (CHX) as an antibacterial agent contained in the primer. According to one example of the present invention, the orthodontic device-attaching primer comprises: a primer which allows an orthodontic device to be attached to teeth; and an antibacterial agent which is added in the primer. By suppressing the growth of Streptococcus mutants and the formation of a biofilm that occur around the orthodontic device, the present invention effectively prevents enamel demineralization and dental caries that occur around the orthodontic device during an orthodontic treatment while effectively suppressing the decrease in adhesive strength that tends to occur when an antibacterial agent is contained in orthodontic devices, and thus can prevent enamel demineralization and dental caries from occurring during an orthodontic treatment while maintaining sufficient strength in attachment of the orthodontic device to the surface of the teeth.
