Provided are a copolymer of monomers including (meth) acrylic acid triisopropylsilyl and a (meth) acrylic acid derivative, capable of producing a coating composition to reduce the amount of organic solvents used by reducing viscocity as much as possible in comparison with the prior art, and a manufacturing metod thereof. The copolymer of monomers including (meth) acrylic acid triisopropylsilyl represented by the following general formula (1) and a (meth) acrylic acid derivative has a number average molecular weight of 6,000 to 100,000 and a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of 2.0 or less (wherein R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group).
