According to an embodiment of the present invention, an electronic device comprises: a communication module performing communication with an external device; a memory storing at least one piece of content; and a processor electrically connected to the communication module and the memory. The processor tags first content, obtained from the memory on at least one piece of second content each other based on a specified linkage element, wherein the at least one piece of second content is obtained from the memory or the external device, and constructs linkage information between the first content and the second content with a table. Various embodiments identified through the specification are possible. Therefore, multimedia content in various forms can be utilized as tag objects.
