An objective of the present invention is to provide a water supplement apparatus of a closed type boiler, capable of preventing that water supplement operation is repeated when water is supplemented, and reducing a time required for removing air remaining in a pipe, and a water supplement method thereof. To achieve this, according to the present invention, the water supplement apparatus of a closed type boiler including a closed type expansion tank (150) comprises: a water pressure detection unit (170) to detect whether the water pressure of water flowing inside a pipe connected to the closed type expansion tank (150) reaches a first water pressure requiring supplement of water; a water supplement valve (190) to be opened/closed to supplement the water inside the pipe; a circulation pump (120) to circuit the water inside the pipe; and a control unit to operate the circulation pump (120) when the water supplement valve (190) is opened to supplement the water in the case that the water pressure of the water detected by the water pressure detection unit (170) is the first water pressure.
