The objective of the present invention is to provide a water supplementing device and method for a closed boiler, the device and method preventing a water supplementing operation from repeating when water is supplied, and being capable of shortening a time for removing the remaining air inside a pipe. The water supplementing device of the closed boiler having a closed expansion tank, of the present invention, comprises: a water pressure sensing unit for sensing whether the pressure of water flowing inside a pipe connected to the closed expansion tank reaches a first water pressure at which the water needs to be supplied; a water supplementing valve opened and closed in order to supplement water into the pipe; a circulation pump for circulating water inside the pipe; and a control unit for performing control so as to operate the circulation pump in a state in which the water supplementing valve is opened and the water is being supplied, if the water pressure sensed by the water pressure sensing unit is the first water pressure.
