According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a method of operating an application processor, which includes a central process unit including at least one core and a memory interface, includes the steps of: measuring, in a first section, a core active cycle of a section in which core instructors are processed and a core idle cycle of a section in an idle state; creating information on a memory access stall cycle of a section accessing the memory interface in the core active cycle; correcting the core active cycle based on information on the memory access stall cycle and calculating a load of the core; and performing a dynamic voltage and frequency scaling (DVFS) operation for the core based on the load of the core.
