The present invention relates to: a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating osteoporosis including soyasaponin I or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof separated from a peanut sprout extract; to a method for preventing or treating osteoporosis including a step of administering the above pharmaceutical composition to a subject other than human; and to a food composition and a feed composition including the soyasaponin I or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. According to the present invention, the pharmaceutical composition including soyasaponin I or the pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof can be used for the development of various forms of osteoporosis treatment through treating or alleviating symptoms of osteoporosis without side effects.
