The present invention relates to a kit for prognosis of sudden deafness including an agent for measuring the expression level of a growth differentiation factor 15 (GDF15) protein, and specifically, by confirming that the blood concentration of the GDF15 protein shows a significant relationship with the degree of deafness in a sudden deafness patient group and shows high sensitivity and specificity when compared to treatment results (prognosis) of the sudden deafness, the kit for prognosis of sudden deafness including the agent for measuring the expression level of the GDF15 protein can be used for prediction and evaluation of the prognosis of sudden deafness.
