The present invention relates to a sensor comprising silica chemically bound with spiropyran, and a manufacturing method thereof. As stated above, according to the present invention, a problem of the prior art is solved, and the sensor can be manufactured with high purity without additional refinement. Moreover, solvent polarity or ultraviolet irradiation can be easily analyzed by using the sensor.
