The present invention relates to a channel-based content providing system for providing a VOD (Video On Demand) content desired by a user in an IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) service in an accessible channel format without searching through a complicated menu category. And more particularly, to a method and apparatus for executing one or more YouTube contents, which are organized in a channel based content providing system for each channel type, separately from a conventional YouTube content executing system.
