The present invention relates to a waterproofing composition for a bridge deck and a waterproofing method using the same. The waterproofing composition for a bridge deck, based on 100 parts by weight of asphalt, comprises: 10 to 40 parts by weight of styrene butadiene styrene; 10 to 60 parts by weight of a polyurethane prepolymer; 5 to 30 parts by weight of methyl methacrylate; 5 to 30 parts by weight of a silane compound; 5 to 20 parts by weight of paraffin; 3 to 15 parts by weight of calcium carbonate; 3 to 15 parts by weight of a cellulose fiber; 3 to 20 parts by weight of nano-ceramic particles; 5 to 30 parts by weight of an anti-peeling agent; 3 to 10 parts by weight of an antioxidant; 1 to 20 parts by weight of an adhesion promoter; and 0.1 to 5 parts by weight of an antifoaming agent. According to the present invention, the waterproofing composition for a bridge deck can form an additional protective film by applying a coating agent, which is environmentally friendly and is excellent in penetration into microcracks of concrete and capillary pores, to the waterproofing method, and can not only strengthen the bonding between a concrete bridge deck and a waterproofing interface which are easily damaged by external load or impact, but also improve the resistance to permeability, thereby greatly improving the durability of the concrete bridge deck.
