FIELD: astronautics.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the space equipment, in particular, to devices for fixing a multifunctional tool with an extended handle to be used by an astronaut under the conditions of weightlessness with a longitudinal through groove in the handle. In the groove of the handle a fixing unit is installed consisting of two rectangular metal frames of equal dimensions, each of which has a U-shape cross-section. Metal frames are fixedly connected to each other by their planes and form an I-beam configuration in the cross-section. Groove in the tool handle is made continuous and solid. Between the metal frames there is a gasket identical in shape and size to the metal frame and made from a polymer material with the property of elasticity and relaxation expansion.EFFECT: as the result, safety, ergonomics and reliability of the work performance by the astronaut in the weightlessness conditions are provided.1 cl, 8 dwg
