Method is based on the enhancement of the nonlinear properties of planar metal contacts due to the action of powerful short microwave radio pulses on them. This causes an electric plasma breakdown of dielectric oxide films covering the contacting metal surfaces. Breakdown consists of several elementary high-speed nonlinear electronic processes: the emission of electrons from the cathode into a dielectric (an oxide film), multiplication of electrons due to impact ionization, formation and destruction of a negative space charge. At the moment of breakdown, the nonlinear properties of the contacts are sharply increased, which can be detected by a receiver of a nonlinear radar station. Enhancement of nonlinear properties is explained by the appearance of a nonlinear plasma layer.;EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the detection range of wearable fragmentation explosives and firearms, in the construction of which there are various metal contacts (including plane ones).;1 cl, 1 dwg
