In the method, a quantitative assessment of the state of artificial microcolonies of bumblebees, receiving feeds with test substrates, is performed. Further, the assessment of nutritional value and content of toxic substances is carried out according to four criteria, namely: speed of development of the microcolony, mortality of bumblebee workers, mortality of larvae and number of broods. Each of the four criteria is assigned 0 to 2 points, depending on the degree of achievement of the optimal indicators, and, then, the points are summed up.
