An electrical pump comprises a pump housing (1) with a pump chamber (2), in which an impeller (3) on a shaft (4) is rotatably received, as well as with an inlet (10) and an outlet (11), which a pumping medium (a) in the pump chamber (2), into and out of; and an electric motor (5), which has a stator (51) with field coils and a rotor (52), wherein the pump shaft (4) of the electric motor (5) into the pump chamber (2) to the impeller (3) and on the pump housing (1) is rotatably mounted. In the pump housing (1) is a motor chamber (6) for receiving a liquid, electrically nonconductive medium (b), with the non-conductive medium (b) with the electric motor (5) is in contact and by a shaft seal (26) to the pump chamber (2) is delimited; and it is a pressure-compensation element (7) is provided, which with the pump chamber (2) and the motor chamber (6) and a pressure equilibrium between the pumping medium (a) and the nonconductive medium (b) are prepared.
