The equipment (102) has downlink channels (107) partially unloaded from an evolved node-B (eNB) (104) of service on neighbor eNB (106), where the equipment receives indication from the eNB of service to indicate a reference signal (105) of the neighbor eNB to be used to estimate parameters of large-scale physical layer associated with a channel/downlink channels provided by the neighbor eNB. The equipment estimates the parameters based on reception of the reference signal from the neighbor eNB and applies the parameters to treat regions of the channel/downlink channels. An independent claim is also included for a method for indicating quasi co-localization of antenna ports of coordinated multipoint operations.
