A method of manufacturing a hybrid structure part (1) of a motor vehicle characterized in that it comprises the steps during which, a sheet of metallic material is formed to form a piece of metal (2), one solidarises one or more reinforcing strips (3) formed of continuous fibers coated with a polymer matrix on a composite sheet (4) formed of fibers impregnated in a thermoplastic polymer matrix, to create a complex reinforcing ply (5), depositing the piece of metal (2) and the complex reinforcing ply (5) in a mold (10), arranging the complex reinforcing ply (5) so that the composite ply (4) is arranged to come into contact with one of the faces (23, 24) of the metal piece (2), and the mold is closed to emboss and adhere the complex reinforcement (5) to said face of the metal piece (2).
