A tool for arranging a meeting comprises a computing device, which may be a smartphone 6, tablet 4 or other handheld device comprising a processor, memory and user interface. The tool records a users details and a logged event, such as a users future locations. The logged event is compared with logged events of another user to determine a future time or overlap when the users will be located close to one another. A notification warns the user of the overlap via the user interface. The tool may be a smartphone or tablet app, or may be accessed from a server 2 via a website. The logged event may include parameters such as relevant location, user defined radius and relevant date or time range. The tool may provide direct messaging or communication between users who have received a notification, and may record an archive of a users logged events.
