The water-guiding household appliance comprises a treatment chamber (2),and a softening device for fresh water, which is assigned a regenerating unit with a brine reservoir. A storage container (3) is provided for storing fresh water and cleaning liquor. The storage container is arranged heat-conductively to the treatment chamber and holds a liquor volume (21). A unit (29,30) is provided for transferring the cleaning liquor from the treatment chamber into the liquor volume. The storage container additionally holds a regeneration volume (22), which is applied for producing the brine reservoir.
