A magnetic field inductor for diagnosing and/or treating tinnitus, comprising a ferromagnetic core with a conductor solenoid wound onto it, characterised in that the elongated ferromagnetic core (11) comprises a proximal section (11b) for placing outside the ear canal (21) and connected to the distal section (11a) for introduction into the ear canal (21), the diameter of the distal section (11a) decreasing in a direction away from the proximal section (11 b), and the conductor solenoid (12) being wound onto at least a part of the length of the proximal section (11a).
