A fan drive gear system (62) for a gas turbine engine (20) includes a first fan shaft (78) coupled to a second fan shaft (80), a first shaft support bearing assembly (94) disposed about the first fan shaft (78) and a second shaft support bearing assembly (92) disposed about the second fan shaft (80). A planetary gear system (48) is coupled to the second fan shaft (80). A transfer bearing (84) is configured to receive lubricant (25) from a lubricant input and is positioned between the first and second fan shaft support bearings (94, 92). A second bearing (85) is configured to rotate with the second fan shaft (80) and receive lubricant from the transfer bearing (84) and communicate lubricant to at least one lubricant passage (88) and a conduit (90) fluidly connecting the at least one lubricant passage (88) to the planetary gear system (48).
