PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method capable of inhibiting the bubble formation in the blood.;SOLUTION: A system for cardiopulmonary bypass comprises: an oxygen source comprising a pressure regulator configured to regulate an oxygen pressure; an oxygenator fluidly connected to the pressure regulator of the oxygen source via a sweep gas inlet, the sweep gas inlet being configured to have a subatmospheric pressure and the oxygenator being configured to oxygenate the blood; a vacuum regulator fluidly connected to the oxygenator via a sweep gas outlet, and configured to provide the subatmospheric pressure; and a flow restrictor fluidly connected to the sweep gas inlet and configured to provide a pressure drop from the oxygen source to the oxygenator.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6;COPYRIGHT: (C)2020,JPO&INPIT
