To provide a method for producing a metal shaped article in which raising the temperature of a metal powder to the temperature at which powder bed sintering or melting takes place is facilitated.SOLUTION: The irradiation device (13) includes a galvano scanner 13a that irradiates laser light to at least a part of a powder bed, and a wavelength conversion element (WCE) provided on the optical path of the laser light.
