To provide a driving evaluation device capable of efficiently and accurately evaluating safety confirmation action of a driver at an intersection.SOLUTION: A driving evaluation device for performing driving evaluation for a driver by using detection data detected by an on-vehicle machine includes: a determination data acquisition section which acquires determination data by using the detection data detected at an intersection where the driving evaluation is performed; an intersection determination section which determines a shape pattern of the intersection where the driving evaluation is performed by using the determination data; an evaluation condition selection section which selects an evaluation condition corresponding to the shape pattern of the determined intersection from an evaluation table where an evaluation condition of a safety confirmation operation for each shape pattern of the intersection; and a safety confirmation evaluation section which evaluates the safety confirmation operation at the intersection on the basis of the selected evaluation condition and the detection data detected at the intersection where the driving evaluation is performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
