To approach change of a sound with respect to an operation of a player to an actual high hat cymbal.SOLUTION: A high hat cymbal sound generation device comprises, an input part, a recording part, a trigger part, and a sound volume control part. The input part acquires state information and vibration information. The recording part records data on a foot close sound, data on a foot open sound, and data on a percussion sound for every state indicated by the state information. The trigger part confirms whether or not vibration indicated by the vibration information is in a range in which predetermined sound production processing is started, and if it is determined that the vibration is in the range in which sound production processing is started, starts sound production processing for at least all percussion sounds. The volume control part controls the volume of each sound under sound production processing and generates an output signal, according to information related to a change of an interval between upper and lower pads and the current state information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
