To provide a paper feeding roll capable of inhibiting conveying failure in a sheet due to accumulation of paper dust over a long period of time.SOLUTION: A paper feeding roll 10 includes a shaft body 12, and an elastic body layer 14 formed on an outer periphery of the shaft body 12, wherein: irregularities are disposed on a peripheral surface of the elastic body layer 14 by protruded parts 16; the protruded parts 16 are arrayed along the peripheral surface of the elastic body layer 14 in a direction different from an axial direction X; a space between a line of the protruded parts 16 in a direction different from the axial direction X and a line of the protruded parts 16 parallel thereto is a continuous groove 18 of a recessed part; and a width of the groove 18 is larger than a distance between the protruded parts in the line of the protruded parts 16 in the direction different from the axial direction X.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
