To provide a rotation supporting device capable of providing a smooth and stable use state, easily and quickly operating change-over means, and including the change-over means of a simple constitution with a small number of components.SOLUTION: A rotation supporting device includes sets of hinge portions 8 in each of which a first bearing portion 6a and a second bearing portion 7a are relatively rotatably connected through a hinge shaft 9 in a manner that they can be stopped and retained at an arbitrary rotation angle, at positions separating from each other, and a single stopper member 22 in which change-over means 5 for changing a rotation range of the second bearing portion 7a on the first bearing portion 6a is simultaneously brought into contact with both second bearing portions 7a, 7a side of both hinge portions 8, 8 to restrict rotation of both second bearing portions, and the single stopper member 22 is displaceable between a restriction position P1 and a restriction releasing position P2 further from the hinge shaft 9 with respect to the restriction position P2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
