To provide a fire extinguishment or fire spread prevention device capable of switching a shape of liquid radiation shape according to a place of the discharge, thereby effectively and efficiently extinguishing fire or preventing fire from spreading.SOLUTION: A fire spread prevention device 1 includes: a nozzle part 2 comprising a rod nozzle 2a to discharge rod-shaped fire spread prevention chemical 5a, and a spread nozzle 2b to discharge spread-shaped fire spread prevention chemical 5b; a three-way valve 3 that is supply control means to supply fire spread prevention chemical 5 sent from a chemical tank through a hose 4 to the nozzle part 2; a siphon pipe; a nitrogen gas cylinder; a start-up valve; a pressure regulator; a gate valve; a degassing valve for inspection; and a storage box. The rod nozzle 2a and the spread nozzle 2b of the nozzle part 2 are arranged adjacently parallel to each other in a vertical direction in a prescribed position so that the spread prevention chemical 5a discharged in a rod shape and the spreaded fire spread prevention chemical 5b discharged in a fan shape collide with each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
