INDENTATION TEST MACHINE AND INDENTATION TEST METHOD

To provide an indentation test machine allowing anybody to precisely measure softness of an analyte.SOLUTION: The indentation test machine comprises an indenter 10, a housing 20 placed in a state in which a part of the indenter projects from an end portion, and a contact portion 21 which is brought into contact with an analyte after the indenter when the housing is operated such that the indenter pushed in the analyte. With the operation, force acting on the analyte at the point of time when the contact portion is brought into contact with the analyte is detected by a force sensor and softness of the analyte is calculated based on the detection result of the force sensor. The indentation test machine further comprises indentation support means 60 for making an indentation direction of the indenter to the analyte a vertical direction to the surface of the analyte. Since the indentation direction becomes the vertical direction to the surface of the analyte whoever operates the machine, precise measurement can be carried out.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
