To provide methods for determining tuberculosis onset risk in a subject infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis based on the genetic information of the subject in association with each genetic lineage of Mycobacterium tuberculosis.SOLUTION: Disclosed herein is a method comprising identification of bases at SNP sites of a genome associated with onset of tuberculosis in a patient latently infected with a Mycobacterium tuberculosis and typing of the genetic lineage of the latently infecting Mycobacterium tuberculosis, so as to determine the onset risk of tuberculosis in the patient.SELECTED DRAWING: None
