PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the work for mounting a reinforcing material of an elevator balance weight frame to be performed at a place easy for the work and reduce labor and work time.SOLUTION: In an elevator balance weight 22 housing a predetermined number of weights which are stacked on a balance weight frame 24 formed by combining two vertical frames, an upper frame, and a lower frame, a mounting support device 50 for supporting a work for mounting a reinforcing material in the middle of the stacked weights includes: a weight holding tool 70 capable of getting into a trough part of the stacked two weights that is formed by a roundness of an end part of an upper side weight and a roundness of an edge part of a lower side weight so as to have a shape that can support a lower surface of the upper side weight; a lifting part 52 that can be mounted on the balance weight frame 24; and a lifting connection part for connecting the weight holding tool 70 and the lifting part 52.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
