PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing tool for an elevator balancing weight, which can be attached in a state capable of exhibiting the reinforcing function of a weight frame and which can keep the attached position effectively, even if a variation exists in the spacing of a pair of jambs.SOLUTION: A fastener includes: a first jamb 312 including a first hook tool 112 hooked toward a second jamb 314; said second jamb 314 including a second hook tool 212 hooked toward the first jamb 312; a first insertion tool 110 interposed between two weight pieces 310e and 310f and connected to the first hook tool 112; a second insertion tool 210 interposed between the two weight pieces 310e and 310f and connected to the second hook tool 212; and a fastening bolt 12 for fastening the first insertion tool 110 and the second insertion tool 210 in a pulled state in a direction, in which the first hook tool 112 and the second hook tool 212 are mutually pulled.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
