To provide an outside joint member for constant velocity universal joint having higher strength and rigidity than a cylindrical FRP layer, a manufacturing method of the outside joint member, and a constant velocity universal joint.SOLUTION: An outside joint member for constant velocity universal joint comprises a metal body having a cup-shaped part, and a coating layer composed of FRP covering an outer diameter surface of the cup-shaped part of the metal body. The coating layer comprises an FRP-based helical winding layer provided over the whole outer diameter surface of the cup-shaped part of the metal body, and an FRP-based hoop winding layer disposed on at least an opening end part of the cup-shaped part. The hoop winding layer is provided one at least one of an inner diameter side and outer diameter side of the helical winding layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
