PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to sufficiently clean a sliding sash, for example, not only a double sliding sash but also a single sliding sash, to widen the effective width of an opening, and to provide a sash opening assist device that does not disturb the sliding of inner and outer sashes.;SOLUTION: An opening assist device 1 lightens the initial movement of a sash, for example, inner and outer sashes 2, 3 of a double sliding sash and therefore helps a user open the sashes 2, 3.
