PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a protected device of a thermal protector from being instantaneously interrupted even if contacts are instantaneously separated by receiving an external force of drop impact or the like.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a thermal protector with instantaneous interruption protection device characterized in comprising: a package 21; a first electrode 23 including a stationary contact 22 provided in the package 21; a movable arm 25 including a movable contact 24, pressing and bringing the movable contact 24 into contact with the stationary contact 22; a second electrode 26 that is electrically connected to the movable arm 25; a thermally-actuated element 27 which actuates the movable arm 25 so as to open/close the stationary contact 22 and the movable contact 24 with a temperature change; and a first PTC element 28 which is connected to the first electrode 23 and electrified in contact with the second electrode 26 when the stationary contact 22 and the movable contact 24 are separated, thereby controlling a recovery operation of the thermally-actuated element 27. The thermal protector with instantaneous interruption protection device further comprises a second PTC element 29 electrically connected in parallel with a contact pair consisting of the stationary contact 22 and the movable contact 24.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
