An object of the present invention is to provide an immunochromatographic test strip in which a sample sufficiently and promptly penetrates a sample supply portion within a test time to prevent variations in detection values of a test line. In particular, it is an object of the present invention to provide an immunochromatographic test strip with less variation in detection value even when the sample is whole blood. An immunochromatographic test strip comprising at least a sample supply unit, an expansion unit, and a detection unit, wherein the sample supply unit contains polyethylene glycol having a molecular weight of 15,000 to 700,000.
