Provided is a mounting device that enables an imaging device configured to transmit an image to an external display device to be detachable from an external device, the mounting device including: a first mounting portion configured to be mounted on the imaging device; a second mounting portion configured to be mounted on the external device; and a rotation mechanism through which the first mounting portion and the second mounting portion are rotatable.
