The process may include providing a food product; providing a vibrating conveyor wherein the vibrating conveyor includes an attached channel and wherein the vibrating conveyor has an inlet and an outlet; insert the food product into the entrance of the vibrating conveyor be operating the vibrating conveyor at a peclet number greater than about 6, a dimensionless acceleration number greater than about 1, and a vertical vibration amplitute greater than about 3 mm; insert a coating material on the vibrating conveyor belt so that the food product is coated with the coating material as it moves from inlet to outlet.
