The present invention relates to hiv inhibitor compounds consisting of isatin derivatives of formulas i, ii and iii as shown below (formulas i, ii and iii) where in formulas i, ii and iii, r1 is selected from h, ch3 or cl r2 is selected from one of the following radicals: zidovudine, amprenavir or an acyclic phosphonate chain, shown below. The present invention also consists of the use and method of treatment using the compounds of formulas i, ii and iii. The compounds of the present invention are also used to treat an infection caused by hbv or coinfection caused by hiv and hbv.
