The invention relates to a hot air fryer comprising a main body, a removable main body tank (2) and a removable tank basket (1). The fryer comprises a handling system (3) containing configuration change means allowing to simultaneously manipulate the tank incorporating the basket or to manipulate the basket only, released and disengaged from the tank, or to manipulate the tank only, released and disengaged from the basket, to enable a first mode of cooking food in the basket incorporated into the tank and a second mode of cooking food directly in the tank, the basket being extracted from it. The invention allows an increase in the cooking capacity of the hot air fryer.
