User recommendation modalities and methods are revealed to recommend users relevant to other users in a community of users. In implementing a method like this,Two different data sets are considered: (a) music (or other items) that users have been listening to (or otherwise relating),And b) music recommendations (or other items) that users have given. In some ways,Pre -computation methods allow the system to efficiently compare sets of items and sets of recommended items between users in the community. Such comparisons can also understand metrics that the system can use to imagine which users should be recommended for a particular target user.
