Gear switching mechanism to prevent unintentional gear disengagement in a vehicle gearbox. The present invention refers to a mechanism for preventing unintended gait disengagement, comprising a gearbox lever (7),Mounted for articulation around a first point of articulation (9) between two end positions. A first end (10) of a bar (4) is rotatively fixed to the gear lever (7) at a first distance from that first point of articulation (9) of the gear lever (7). A ifSecond end (11) of that bar (4) is rotated towards a main lever (1) at a second distance from a main lever joint point (3). The first end (12) of a spring feature (5) is rotatively fixed for the main lever (1) at a joint point (14) at a third DConsistency from that main lever joint point (3). A second end (13) of that spring feature (5) is rotationally fixed for a second point of articulation (6) at a position fixed relatively to that first point of articulation (9) and that main lever joint point (3).
