A method for identifying a compound that binds to the phosphoinositol 4-phosphate 2 adapter protein (FAPP2), which comprises computationally identifying a compound that binds to FAPP2 by the atomic coordinates of (i) at least the amino acids that make up the pocket of substrate binding of FAPP2, as set forth in Table 2; or (ii) at least the GLTP domain of FAPP2 as set forth in Table 3.
