The invention relates to a hot air fryer comprising a main body, a tank (2) removable from the main body and a basket (1) removable from the tank. The fryer comprises a handling system (3) which comprises means for changing the configuration either to handle concomitantly the tank incorporating the basket, or to manipulate the basket alone, released and released from the tank, or to manipulate the tank alone, released and released from the basket, so as to allow a first method of cooking food in the basket incorporated in the tank and a second method of cooking food directly in the tank, the basket being extracted therefrom. The invention allows an increase in the cooking capacity of the hot air fryer.
