The present application provides an intelligent device and a WiFi network mode switching method thereof. The network switching method of an intelligent device comprises: the intelligent device sscanning, while connected to a paid network, for surrounding WiFi networks; if a WiFi network is found via the scanning, the intelligent device sending a specific request signal to the WiFi network; the intelligent device receiving feedback information from the WiFi network and determining whether the WiFi network is a free WiFi network; if the WiFi network is a free WiFi network, switching to and connecting to the WiFi network. The intelligent device of the present application intelligently determines the type of a WiFi network signal and intelligently chooses free WiFi signals, ensuring work efficiency of a user, reducing Internet access costs of the user and enhancing user experience.
