The present invention relates to a composition and a method for producing a molded body from a highly pure, transparent quartz glass by means of additive manufacturing. The composition contains quartz glass particles having a diameter in the range of from 7 to 100 nm, a polymerizable organic binder which is present in liquid form at room temperature, and a polymerization initiator or a cross-linking agent.
