METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CORRECTING TILTED TEXT IMAGE USING EXPANSION METHOD

A method for correcting a tilted text image using an expansion method, for processing a text saved in the form of image and correcting the font tilt defects thereof, comprising: S1, reading a text image to be processed; S2, performing an expansion processing on the image; S3, further performing a corrosion processing on the processing result of S2; S4, performing an edge detection on the processing result of S3; S5, performing a Hough transform on the processing result of S4, to obtain straight line information parallel to a character line boundary; S6, traversing all the straight lines obtained in S5 to detect, an angle occurring most among included angles between the straight lines and a horizontal line, and taking same as a tilt angle of the current processed text; and S7, correcting the text image to be processed according to the result of S6, and displaying same. As the method allows a non-textual portion to exist in the text image, and the non-textual portion has little influence on calculating the tilt angle, the present invention is simple to implement, and is more stable.
