The invention relates to a sensor (1) which is designed for a 3-D position detection system (10) and comprises a sensor chip (2) for detecting radiation (R) and a carrier (3), on which the sensor chip (2) is mounted. A potting body (4) transmissive to the radiation (R) to be detected completely covers the sensor chip (2). A centroid shift (Δ) of the sensor chip (2) at angles of incidence (α) up to at least 60° is at most 0.04 mrad.
